Hello,
In Captivate 7, I inserted a web object and directed it to retrieve a file (the PDF) instead of a web page. When I preview my project in a browser, the PDF does not appear. I've tried IE and Chrome. I assumed, because the widget allowed me to retrieve a file, that the widget was designed to show a PDF just as easily as it would a web page. Am I wrong?
My client wants the PDF to show up within the lesson, instead of on a separate web page. If the widget is designed for that, any advice you can give me is much appreciated. Thanks!
Upload all of the published files (including the PDF) to a web server and test it from there. Testing this kind of thing locally can often fail.

Yep, I tried your advice and the PDF showed up in the web object. I like that the web object gives you the option to print or save the PDF, too. I'm looking for a way to input text in the PDF's blank lines from within the web object. Don't know if that's possible, but if not then I'll include a line of instruction for the student to print or save the PDF in order to interact with it. Anyway, again -- thanks!
