Hi
I am trying to preview a responsive project - "From this slide", "Next 5 slides", "Project."
It opens in IE11 with a yellow box message "Internet Explorer restricted this page from running scripts or ActiveX controls."
I click "Allow blocked content" and a loading icon appears and stays onscreen - nothing else happens.
It wasn't working on the project i was working on so i created a new project with two slides.
Issue still occurs.
Same occurs in Firefox, but it works in Google Chrome and it also works in Scorm Cloud.
I have cleared cache and reset preferences.
Regards
Donal.

Just to add that in browser its previewing from my C drive.
"C:\Users\Donal\Documents\My Adobe Captivate Projects" is a trusted location.

Hi,
We could see the issue at our end. Have you used an "Open URL or file" action anywhere in your project? Can you try publishing and see if that works?
Thanks,
Mohana

Hi Mohhana, The test project just contains two slides with a text caption on each slide. It works when published and viewed in IE11. Donal.

If possible could you share the project so that we can try at our end as well? You can send it to mdas@adobe.com by uploading to a shared location (eg Dropbox)
Thanks,
Mohana

Hi Mohana
I reinstalled Captivate (9.0.0.223) and everything is ok re: Preview.
My preview was working until I installed this solution.
Firewall exception each time Captivate 8 is launched
Now that i have reinstalled Captivate i am getting the "Firewall execption" error.
So can you provide a solution for me.
Regards
Donal.

Hi Donal,
Instead of using the fix you can try the below steps:
First, Close captivate.
1. Open Captivate installation directory
2. Copy the file "AdobeCaptivate.ini" to Desktop
3. Edit the copied file using some text editor e.g. Note pad
You will see a line: "UseEdgeInspect = 1" ---- change this value to 0
4. Save the file and copy it back to the Captivate install directory.
Now, relaunch Captivate. You should no longer be seeing the Firewall exception message.
Please note that, changing the above value will result in "Preview in Edge Inspect" no longer working.
Thanks,
Mohana

Hi Mohana,
That worked - thanks.
I'm assuming the ability to "Preview in Edge Inspect" will be fixed in next Captivate update.
Donal.
