Creating Multiple Quizzes that add up score

Feb 25, 2016 Feb 25, 2016

Adobe Captivate 7

I am creating three info sections that each contain a quiz after.  I want the total score for each quiz to be add to to the last page of the training.  Is this possible?

Training Module

Section 1 material and the Section 1 Quiz – users must pass the 5-question quiz or they must review the material and retake the quiz again

Section 2 material and the Section 2 Quiz – users must pass the 5-question quiz or they must review the material and retake the quiz again

Section 3 material and the Section 3 Quiz – users must pass the 5-question quiz or they must review the material and retake the quiz again

Last page adds up their total score of all 3 quizzes

Within one CP-file? If you have to report to a LMS, you'll have be aware that SCORM only allows one quiz per file.

If that is OK, you'll need to use advanced actions and user variables to create the individual total scores for the three quizzes, and take decisions based on that. How you can create such partial results is explained here:

Thank you so very much!  This is exactly was I was looking for.

I do have another question if you can point me into the right direction or reference that would be great.

This is the same setup as I explained above but what I am looking to do is if a user fails the section questions then they have to go back a review the info and retake the test 1 time.  After they finish retaking the test again and see the score, the review quiz button appears.  I don't want the review quiz button to appear after their first attempt.  Now if they pass the quiz the first time then the button would appear.  I hope I am making sense as it Friday and I am tired!

Example:

Section 1 content

Section 1 Test

If user passes quiz - quiz results are displayed with a Continue Button and Review Quiz button

If user fails quiz - quiz results are displayed with a retake button.  User is taken back to the Section 1 content and then Section 1 Test. After completing the Section 1 test, user is promoted with the quiz results page and continue and review quiz button.  We would only want the user to be able to retake the quiz 1 time.

Thank you for all your wonderful help!

Easy: drag the Retake button over the Review button. When attempts are exhausted the Retake button disappears and the Review button becomes visible. Another trick to be found in:
