Cursor is Pixelated in Software Simulations

New Here ,

Hello,

I am using Adobe Captivate 2019 x64. When I record software simulations in demonstration mode, the cursor in the generated slides looks pixelated around the edges:

I am able to change the cursor image from its properties, but oddly most of the selections are pixelated as well, and changing the cursor isn't possible in full motion captures.

I've tried restarting Captivate, my computer, clearing Captivate cache, resetting Captivate preferences by going to C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Adobe and deleting the Captivate 11.0 folder, and the issue prevails.

Anyone know a fix or what is causing this issue? I've had the issue before and for some reason it went away, but now it's back.

Thanks!

Try changing the quality settings on slides to High (24 bit).

Are you sure you are not being a little picky? It's normal for the mouse cursor to have jagged edges.  That;s the default way it looks on any Windows computer.

If it appears abnormally pixilated, could it be related to your browser settings?  Is your browser set to 100% display percentage?

What are your Display Percentage settings in Windows OS itself?

I am a bit of a perfectionist, but I am sure that it's abnormal because it doesn't happen all the time. It's not just jagged but looks like there are dots along the edges:

It's not my browser settings because it happens while simulating other programs. My display settings are maxed out at 1920x1080 (unless you mean something else). I probably wouldn't care if my other simulations didn't have a normal looking cursor, it's just a little distracting. Thank you by the way, I appreciate the help.

Just so you can see the difference, here's a picture of the cursor properties options in captivate when it's working correctly (for the most part, the bottom left option looks abnormal though):

And here's how the cursor properties options look when the cursor looks abnormal:

I'm not sure how captivate selects which cursor options are available/ which cursor it uses for simulations, but in the cursor folder in windows, the cursors look much higher quality.
