Custom HTML Question Slide Radio and Checkbox Buttons

Has anyone come up with a solution to easily replacing the HTML5 version of the question slide radio and checkbox images? I know there is a hack out there that requires changing the default images found in the Program Files folder and modifying some code in a default JavaScript file, but I was hoping for a more elegant end user type solution.

I know there is also the possibility of creating multiple choice slides that function with advanced actions but our goal is to rapidly develop hundreds of courses and I don’t want the designers spending additional time modifying advanced actions. I would appreciate anyone’s advice here, thanks.

In fact we looked at including something into the CpExtra widget for this particular issue, but at the moment it's pretty tricky to do because it requires having extra images imported into the Captivate library and then using a reference ID to substitute those images for the normal ones in quiz questions at run-time.  Unfortunately, there are so many possible issues and things that can go wrong, it's a bit of a 'rabbit hole'.

Unfortunately, the truth is that this is an area where Captivate currently sits way behind the competition.  Many other authoring apps allow you to enlarge or vary the radio button or checkbox designs in multi-choice and multi-answer quiz questions.  But Captivate does not (out of the box) do so.

I recommend you add your voice to the others that have requested this enhancement by logging an enhancement request with Adobe.  It's long overdue.

I was hoping that Tristan had written a widget or something. Thanks anyway Rod. I have a solution that combines some variables and advanced actions but it takes away so many other features I can't decide if it's worth it or not. I have logged a feature request and have even added it to my wishlist of features I would like to see in Adobe Captivate 10.

So while it might be technically possible to do this with a widget, the best solution would still seem to be that Captivate did what all of the other authoring apps do and just give you some viable styling options for the buttons and checkboxes.
