Custom image button resets itself

Hello,

I have a project with about 50 slides and use a custom image button to enable the learners to jump to the glossary slide at the end.

Unfortunately sometimes the action of all the buttons gets reset to "continue" instead of "jump to slide ___".

What could be the reason?

I did not delete the slide with the glossary. I did upload XML definitions to the glossary widget. I also started adding quiz slides at the end.
Is there any know casue/effect that resets button actions?

Thanks for any clues as refiguring them all takes 10 minutes each...

I cannot explain why the action is changing when you copy/paste but have a tip for you.

Why do you complicate this by having individual buttons  on each slide instead of one shape button that you can put on the master slide or on the first slide and time for the rest of the project? You can convert each image to a shape button:

I did go thos route this for other buttons ("show rest of project) but I was under the impression that this button could not be used liked that/ I wasn´t offered the option in "properties".

I will try again to do that though as it makes it much easier.

Show rest of project is not in Properties but in Timing Properties panel, at least if you use CP8 or CP9.

One more thing, a while ago I made an action for a pause/play toggle.

Just "if cpcmdpause = 1 then continue; else pause".

Before I triggered the action with a click field and it worked right away.

Now with the new smart sahpe button there is a delay of about 3-4 seconds before I can pause. (No, it is not in the timing properties as I set it to 0,1 sec)

Any idea what I did wrong?

Can you show a screenshot of the timeline? What do you mean by the Timing Properties set to 0,1sec?

Normally for a pausing button you don't need an extra pause on the button itself. This is an old, but still much visited blog post (beware the name of the system variable has changed from rdCmndPause to cpCmndPause):

A click box always pauses at the end of its timeline because ti is invisible, an inactive part has no sense.

I read your answer too late but found the solution by myself.

As you said, the buttons were told to pause by default.

So after switching the "pause after" off everything worked as planned.
