I want to hide the TOC button in the PlayBar but also be able to open (Show) the TOC using the "Show TOC" Action attached to a custom button in the header of my template.
In the skin editor, when I uncheck the "Show TOC" option, the custom button with the Advanced Action will not work.
When I select the checkbox to Show TOC, the Advanced Action on the custom button DOES work, but the TOC button also displays in the PlayBar.
Is there an EASY workaround that doesn't involve using Flash to modify the control?

I want to double-check, which playbar do you use? I seldom use a play bar, always custom navigation.

I just tested the Toggle cpCmndTOCVisible action on a button in a project where the Playbar was turned off and it works fine.
I'm on Captivate 8.0,1
What version are you on?

There is a playbar from what I read in the original question. I asked which playbar, because I thought there was a option to hide the TOC button in some playbars, which I couldn't find. But it seems now, from rereading the question, that the option 'Show TOC' is simply turned off, which means no TOC is created I think it is simply impossible to have the playbar button disappear at all, once you choose to have a TOC it will automatically appear on any playbar, no control over it.
