dealing with software learning updates/revisions

We have an in-house application that has monthly updates that requires frequent change to the demos and simulation/practice we created.  It's not just screen changes and sometimes require redo the section that has process change. We mainly use Captivate and Storyline. I'm wondering how others deal with frequent software upgrade in providing training to employees?

Thanks,

wfzen,

I work in the same way as yourself, having to create updates to a piece of software. Thankfully my changes only take place every few months.

I have split up the training into approx 100 short sections, as I find it easier to manage those rather than huge projects.

I do not use the feature of having the mouse move around the screen, as that is a real pain to update. Instead I just have static pointers showing where the next step/click should come.

However, if changes have to be made I have to update each section, there is no way around it.

Would be interested to hear what other people do.

Good Luck !

Peter
