Different Quiz ID in the same Project

I noticed today on one of my training modules that my training modules the quiz object ID is different. This project had some updates and some addition quiz questions added. I also standardized our quiz naming structure. I had one user report the quiz listed him as receiving a score of 140% after his machine rebooted on him during the test quiz. I know there are alot of variables at play but am curious why I am getting two quiz objective ID's and if there is a known way to reset them all to the current one "2017-PSG-301"

Could be a browser caching issue.  Try having the user clear his browser cache before reattempting.  Some proxcy servers also may be caching old versions of course content to speed up delivery.  That could throw a spanner in the works.

I notice you have 220 points total in your quiz.  Be aware that some LMSs don't seem to like scores over 100 points.  So if you continually run into this issue with your LMS, try reducing the maximum possible score to something less than 100 and see if that helps.

Rod ,

Thanks for your reply. It seems Captivate is not reporting the score as a percentage to the LMS as set up in in my quiz preferences.

Quiz pass-fail

In my LMS my course  passing score is set to 95 which typically in the past was the corresponding percentage score set by captivate and uploaded to the LMS upon completion.

LMS pass-fail

This year we moved from Scorm 1.2 to 2004 v4 and is the only major change implemented. For some reason the module is no longer reporting the percentage value but rather the literal point value.

The LMS folks seem to think this is a bug within captivate reporting. I have tried clearing the local cache files, republishing and reuploading the course content to the LMS.

Have you seen this before?

At this point it may seem my only option is to change the scoring values and then set a corresponding value in the LMS unless you know of a potential fix.

Check the Reporting section, did you set up % there? It is not the passing score which will indicate the format of reporting to the LMS, it is just... a passing score.

That's not the screen that tell you. Your previous screenshot of the Quiz > Pass or Fail screen is the one that shows it correctly set to percentage.

Also, anytime an LMS team member suggests that an issue with reporting must be due to some failure with the Captivate output I always suggest uploading the same SCORM zip to SCORM Cloud and testing it from there. 99 times out of 100 that test seems to reveal the issue as being with the LMS.  But the LMS people are loathe to look any deeper into their own backyard until you have proven that other LMSs seem to work better than their own.  So I strongly suggest you perform this comparison test yourself before worrying that you need to make changes to the output.  The 'bug' is more likely to be in the way they have set up their own LMS or your course within their LMS.

Its no problem, as for me there is no wrong answer as it is always important to check these things and someone who has a similar issue may find your suggestion very helpful.
