Disable the 'Post Results' pop up after a quiz

New Here ,
Jul 10, 2015 Jul 10, 2015

Using Captivate 7.0.1.237

After a quiz is completed, a pop up dialog appears requesting the user's name and e-mail address.

We already capture the user's information, so the pop up is asking redundant questions, and is just confusing for our users. The results are reported to our system regardless of what is entered, or if the dialog is cancelled.

How do I disable the Post Results pop up dialog after a quiz?

Hmmm can't remember it excactly but in the fog I think......

I Opened strings.txt in the Captivate dir. and searched for the exact sentence and replaced that to something else. I also managed to change the text on the buttons in strings.txt

But there are some other steps that I can't guide you through right now (I'm on vacation). You have to cheat the email prompt somewhere in your project with a preentered "@" ... maybe it was with a JS I did that?!?

My "out of office" ends at 27th.

Hi - did you ever manage to do this?  We're facing the exact same issue, and only find a handful of people asking the same question over the years, but never a solution.  Yours seems recent, so if you figured it out, I would appreciate some help.

Thanks,

Luis.

Hey Luis

Sorry that I first answer you now. I got more than one Adobe-account, so I haven't seen your message until now.

Write me a mail at jah@prolearning.dk next Monday, where my colleague that came up with a solution, will be back.

/Jacob

We've just upgraded to Captivate 9.  It appears there is still no way to disable this pop up.  Does anyone know of any solutions?

Are you using the Internal Server reporting option?

That's the reason this popup usually appears at all.

We're having the same problem with Captivate 9 (reporting to an internal server). We set up the variable to remove the prompt for student details and edited the JS to change the 'Unknown error' message but what we really want is to get rid of that pop up box.

The data is reporting to the internal server and IT tell me all permissions are fine so I'm out of ideas. Would appreciate it if anyone who has a suggestion.
