Does captivate prevent sending variables via 'form action post' to a database?

I found by accident that sending variables to a database with 'form action post' no longer works.  
My question: Does captivate prevent sending variable via 'form action post'? 
The variables are read in via php and mysql after sending.

I wouldn't think anything in Captivate would stop it, but you do need server-side scripts to send the variables.

Hi! Many thanks for the answer. It was my fault: Before switching to php 8.2 I failed to check - and correct - the scripts.
