Hi,
I guess this is a very basic question but I did not manage to find an answer.
I have a slide with narration and CC.
Then I start a drag and drop interaction and want the audio to pause during that.
Once the drag and drop is complete (correct or incorrect) I want to audio to start playing again.
Unfortunately the audio keeps playing even though I set "pause after __seconds". The slide stops for DaD but the audio plays through
So how do I get the audio to pause?
Thanks a lot.
Maybe someone else knows a better way but I can only propose a workaround. I will try to explain the issue. When using an interactive object that is pausing the timeline, you'll find under the Options tab the possibility to 'Stop slide audio'. This option is not available for the D&D interaction. You can find and edit the timing of the pause in the Drag&Drop panel, under the Actions tab, but not the possibility to stop slide audio (BTW same is the case for question slides).
My workaround:

Not so basic, I know. Maybe I'm overlooking something, but apparently no one else answered your question yet.
I don't understand how you used the Delay command, because this would mean that you need two audio clips, the part before the pause and the part after the pause. Slide audio normally cannot have two clips on the same slide, that is only possible with object audio.

Hello and thank you!
Actually I meant "pause after", my mistake.
I see, so I am not crazy...
Another option is just to go to the next slide that looks the same but has the second part of what I want to say.
Not elegant though, will try your solution!

I double-checked it extensively, sure that this works.

This does work! Great tip, very obliged.
Stupid follow-up question, if I add a drop target that is supposed to be "not correct" for a drag source (intentionally wrong answer option) how do I set that again?
I can set "correct answers" and that works but if I drag the source on the incorrect target nothing happens (eg reply "incorrect").
I can´t find the answer. Thanks for a short hint...!

I see, I need a "submit button" then it works. But on the other hand, if I pause after 17,5 sec the submit button is visible all the time.

You can drag the Submit button off the stage, and choose to have 'AutoSubmit' for Correct answers.

Bingo, I did not find the "object actions". I do have to say things are very hidden sometimes.
Thanks so much!

I know things are sometimes very hidden in Captivate, reason why I started bloggig 6 years ago.

What do you want to happen when you drag the incorrect drag source to the drop target? Under object actions you can exclude the incorrect drag sources (uncheck Accept All, indicate which drag sources are correct under Accept) and have them return to their original location. If you are on Captivate 9 you use the InBuilt states for the drag sources (and the drop targets). Have a look at my blog post:
