Effects are causing slides to pause unexpectedly

I am working in Captivate 8 using effects on text boxes.  When using preview, the slides work as expected, however, when I preview in the browser or HTML5 browser the slides pause during or before the effect. There is nothing in the timeline that should be causing the slide to pause.

Do you have a shape button on the master slide or on a previous slide,

timed for rest of project?

After further research this may not have anything to do with effects.  I removed the effects but the pauses occur when an object comes in to the timeline without the effect applied.

Is this a normal slide? I'm asking because a D&D slide automatically pauses at 1.5secs and that pause is not visible on the timeline.

What is the On Enter action?

Yes, it is a normal slide.  The On Enter and On Exit are set to no action.

The same thing is happening on all my slides and I even tried to delete the next slide button that previously was set to pause at the end of the slide.

Lilybiri,

You are a genious.  Thank you so much.  I did have a menu object paused at 1.5 seconds on the first slide set to display for the rest of the project.

Much appreciated!
