eLearningBrothers asset download problem

New Here ,
Jan 10, 2018 Jan 10, 2018

Hi All,

I am using eLearningBrothers' assets on my eLearning courses. But mostly I have some problems with cutout people downloading problems. When I download a cutout person, the asset does not see in the assets. I have written to eLearningBrothers a few times but they just redirect me to their website and log into their system and download the cutout person again from the downloaded tab. This is really a boring situation for me. When I focus on the project I have to go the other website and download again the same picture.

Is there anyone who has the problem? Not all cutout people or all characters.

I have the same problem.  I have also noticed that the files that download are locked in the user>Public>Public Documents> Adobe> eLearning Assets>Characters_10_0.  I am not sure if this is related, but I can find the files I have tried to download via the Assets window in captivate.  The files show show up in the folder so they are downloading, but are not being read by Captivate.  I also have a Characters_9_0 folder which contains many of the same downloads, but is not identical.  I wonder if Captivate is only checing the Characters_9_0 folder.  I didn't have any of these issues when I was on Adobe Captivate 9.  I wonder if this is an issue with the update.

Are you seeing the same issue?

This is a known problem that we have been told that Adobe is working on for the next release. In the interim you can use your ELB login to download directly from the ELB Library page and then insert the characters just as you would any other image.

Thank you for the workaround.  I was having this same problem, but when I used my ELB account, the images were downloadable, and could be opened.  I wish this glitch was fixed by now, but I guess the problem persists.  It would be nice if Adobe or ELB would post this within CP so users would not spend wasting hours trying to make something work, when it can't.

Hi, I have the same problem with downloading free assets. I am new user of CAPTIVATE 10.  Is it possible that these free files are damaged by our firewall? Thank for your answer.

Are you talking about other assets besides the cutout people? If so, it is possible that something is happening to them as they pass through the firewall.

It is about cutout people, you are right. I can see only locked files in  OTHERS.

Since it's about cutout people, this was addressed in a previous response. Scroll up a bit to see the reply.
