Embed YouTube Video into Captivate 9 Issue

Community Beginner ,

I have embedded a couple of YouTube videos into a captivate 9 file using the  Learning Interactions.  When I test the project out (F11) the videos play correctly.  When I published (zip file) the project and uploaded to our LMS, the videos do not play.  The screen is black.

The reason why we are using YouTube videos is because our LMS will only allow for a project to be uploaded with 100mb or less.  To work around this I figured that using short embedded videos will solve our issue.

Any ideas?

Something has changed about YouTube, use the web object instead of that interaction.

Or upgrade to Captivate 2017 because I think they fixed the YouTube widget

The risk you run when using the YouTube widget is that each time Google decides to change their API it breaks the functionality of any projects published in prior versions. Here is a video tutorial on embedding a Vimeo video into your project but YouTube works the same if you use this method.

Thanks everyone for all the assistance.  I tested and can see the video but it only plays for a couple of seconds and goes to the next slide.  Do I have to extend the video on timeline to exact time of the video?

Add an interactive object to pause the slide, it will not pause the web object:

Thanks for the info!

I got the videos to work correctly however when the first video is finished playing it does not go to the next slide but stops in the YouTube screen (with all the suggested videos).  I am looking to have the video play and then go to the next slide which is just made up of bullet points.

Any suggestions?
