Error 'Contact software manufacturer'.Downloaded dmg has no Install Folder

I've downloaded Captivate for use on my Macbook. Installation however fails and I get the error message to contact the product manufacturer. (how helpful!).

I tried looking for a solution online but all suggestions say to use Install folder and navigated to install/contents/MacOS/install.

(I have checked for compatibility, disk space, installation rights, and the usual lot)

My installed and mounted dmg file however does not contain such an Install folder (see file contents below).

Any ideas on how to proceed?

The dmg file contains following files:

  • Build (folder)
    • captivateInstall.pkg (--> this is the one I run but it always fails installing at the last hurdle)
    • captivateUninstall.pkg
  • captivate... .ccp file
  • conflicting process list .xml file
  • packageInfo ... .txt file
  • Exceptions (folder)
    • AdobeCaptivate AirApp
      • Adobe Air Installer
      • ...
    • ExceptionConfig
    • ExceptionDeployer (unix executable)
    • ExceptionInfo.txt
