Error publishing a package on a new computer

Hi Captivate people 🙂

I've got a weird error popping up. I've been building my captivate packages on my personal laptop, but just got Captivate 9 installed on my work computer and I want to finish the project and publish it on the fully licensed work computer, but this error message keeps popping up no matter where I try to save it.

This package has extra files attached to it that the participant needs to open (either a PDF or a spreadsheet) and my assumption is that he's having trouble linking everything properly because it's on a new computer away from the original one that built and stored the files. Now I've re-linked them all and saved it again, but the problem persists.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm heading towards my deadline. 🙂

Thanks,

Franzi

Do you have write access to that folder path?

Are you launching Captivate with 'Administrator Privileges'?

Also, you should beware that Captivate doesn't play well on networked drives, you'll want your Cp source files (.cptx) on a local hard drive, rather than a network share!

This may sound like a suggestion, and you're IT team may balk, but you will loose data if your Captivate files are stored on a network share.
