Adobe Captivate 9

I am looking for a way to force users to review the entire course again if they fail the quiz.  Any ideas?

Use the Failure action in Quiz Preferences, set it to 'Jump to Slide 1'. When they click the Continue button on the score slide, this action will be executed.

I hope that you don't use a default playbar, or the user will be able to scrub back quickly to the end.

I did try that but it didn't work. If the user fails the quiz it takes them to the quiz results page and doesn't jump to the first slide.  q1.PNG

How did you test? What is the Required option under Quiz, Settings?

I previewed the project.  Should I test it another way?

I just quickly created a test file, with a couple of quiz slide, score slide and before that some content slides. i did use the same settings and on Failure of the quiz, the Continue button took me to the first slide. I checked that you enable Backwards movement, I'm bit out of ideas now. Did you perhaps delete embedded objects on quiz/score slides? Embedded objects have no individual timeline.

Ok I got it working just re did the quiz again.  However, when the user fails the quiz, the continue button takes them back to the first slide (beginning of training) but the project pauses.

Check the setup of that first slide, pausing is not normal, there should be a reason. If you did have an advanced action instead of the simple action 'Jump to ...' that would be normal. I hope you didn't uncheck the option 'Continue playing the project' which is checked by default?

Where are is the 'Continue playing the project' option you are referring too?

I started over the project and created another quiz and still have the same issue with the continue button on every browser.  If a user fails the quiz the continue button will take them back to the start of the training but it is paused.  I cannot get it to stop pausing.  There is nothing on the first slide except a title.

Did you try to set the On Enter action of that first slide to 'Continue'? What you experience is not at all normal. You could also replace the simple action 'Jump to slide' by a standard action where you add the command Continue after the Jump command.

I have tried:

On Enter Action on the first slide

adding a button that when clicked will go to the second slide question 1

tried make a simple standard action

Nothing is working! The first slide still pauses after clicking on the continue button when the user fails the quiz.   I have tried everything and think I am giving up now.

Seems as this would be so easy and it is not working.

Probably a simple thing, but difficult to guess what could prevent this. Just hope that the project is not getting corrupted. Do you have a lot of advanced actions triggered by slide events? If not, I would try to copy/paste to a blank project with same resolution.

The same issue is occurring with a brand new project that only consist of 3 slides and 2 quiz questions.  I don't have any actions on the plain slides and they just consists of titles. I creating 3 new projects and still having issues.
