FREE Learning Assets?

After downloading the updated version of CP 9, there seems to be way fewer assets! The FREE assets window is blank as well. Where did everything go, and why is there a free assets window with nothing in it?

Did you delete the Preferences and Public Layouts folder before installing the upgrade?

Not that I know of...I mean, we just clicked on updates in the Help menu and installed the update.

Those instructions are too well hidden, sighing. Issues like this appear after each patch, because users don't know that this hato be done.

Can you look for the CleanPreferences file in the subfolder 'Utils' under the installation folder of Captivate and run it? As for the Layouts folder, it depends which OS you are using. For Windows you'll find it here:

C:\Users\Public\Documents\Adobe\eLearning Assets\Layouts\9_0

It is a copy of the Layouts folder in the Gallery. Delete this folder in Public Documents and restart CP.

Okay, I did all of that, but it looks that same. Is there supposed to be something there if you click on "Get Free eLearning Assets"?

On a side note, if there is anyone from CP listening, you guys really need some more new themes!

Once you have followed the steps outlined by Lieve (lilybiri) above and in this post, and restarted Captivate, you should be asked to log in or create an eLearning Brothers account to get your free assets. You should only have to do this once.  After logging in, you should see the following interface with all the different categories of assets.

Thank you all....when I came in this morning and opened up CP, it was finally there. Not sure exactly why it was delayed in showing up, but I'm happy!! Thanks
