Afternoon all,
Hitting a bit of a dead end here: I've downloaded a project from eLearning Brothers, this one is Edged Tabs: Captivate Interaction, but when I come to use it I'm running into problems and I don't know where to turn. Any suggestions?
Particularly on this project there are shapes working as buttons that run a script that shows the appropriate caption and hides all others. I can't find the captions it is supposed to show, and don't know if I'm missing something simple or I need to create them myself.
Which does lead me to a supplementary question if anyone can help: when you have several rollovers calling up captions or slidelets in the same area of a slide, can anyone advise on the best practice of managing the different captions/ slidelets when developing the slide?
Any help appreciated,
Thanks
Jim

I might think ELearning Brothers would offer support for the things you obtain from them.

On my supplementary - I saw a video on YouTube of someone grouping images and captions then hiding them using the timeline. Sorted! !

You know you can hide parts of the slide so you only see the text caption box that you want to type in. use the little eye symbol on the left hand side in captivate.

@estherau Be careful! The previous answer was about hiding in output, you are talking about hiding during editing on the stage. Those are totally different. Have a look at my article:

Well i get the impression that maybe the OP is struggling with just seeing where to type their material. Yes the eye thing on the timeline is just to make editing easier, as it doesn't hide anything in the presentation.
