Hello all,
it´s me again...
I created a responsive project and everything was working as planned.
I had a glossary on one slide and it worked just fine.
But now the widget preview thumbnail in the slideview is invisible.
I can click it and edit/add terms and even play/view it in a preview.
I tried refreshing the widget in the properties inspector but that doesn´t change anything.
I still can´t see the image just the frame.
But once I publish it, the glossary doesn´t work anymore.
It just loads forever and then gives me an empty page. (With this stand-in)
What could be the reason?
It works in the preview.
Thanks for any idea as I need the glossary.
Where is the data that is shown stored by the way?
I don´t want to reenter all the content.

If you are publishing to HTML5 for this, I recommend you upload your published content to a web server and test from there.

Thank you.
But the image not even showing up in the filmstrip view must have a reason, doesn´t it?
So you think that by uploading it to a server the project might access the glossary content more easily?
I will try that.
But on the other hand I just created and brand new project and just inserted a new glossary widget on page 1.
Still it works in preview but not after publishing it. It still loads forever and then comes up empty.
Is the widget broken?

I might have to correct myself.
Apparently it works in Firefox after publishing but not in Chrome even though it did before.
Now I am puzzled...

Have you tried uploading to a web server yet and testing from there?

Next thing I will do!
Then I will report back.
Thanks for your help Rod.

Hello Rod,
another dumb question on my part that is connected to publishing.
I have uploaded the folder to a server we host.
Theoretically it should play that the same way it plays from my local HD, shouldn´t it?
But when I try to access the link www........elearning/en/companydemo/ I simply get an eternally spinning wheel.
Is there something I am missing?
Where is the difference for Chrome etc. between starting it from my PC or from a remote folder?
Thanks for any help!

Not necessarily. Playing something from your local hard drive could be triggering certain browser security issues that don't necessarily happen when you are serving the same content from a true web server.
Is this host server you refer to a web server or a LAN server?

I uploaded it via FTP to a web server.
Also, thank you!

Are there boxes I need to check?
I had a similar folder created through Ispring and it loaded fine.
I wonder what i am doing wrong here?

Try opening the developer tools in Chrome and see what errors are being generated.

Thanks a lot.
After uploading it to a server it seems to work as Rod hinted at.
I recommend not using any numbers, brackets () or "" in the glossary as it messes up the list.

I found the solution.
When we use Filezilla we have to set the setting to "binary" in "upload options" otherwise the file size is different.
