How can I move Adobe Captivate 8 files to a new computer or shared work drive without corrupting them?

I am working for a large corporate client and our project is wrapping up. They would like my team to load our completed captivate files to the Shared Drive for future use. However, whenever we move the file and then try to download or save to our desktop, the files corrupt. When we try to open them in Captivate they cause a fatal error.

Is there a workaround for this? One member of our team is off of the project as of tomorrow, and I will need to take over final edits of her project. I need to get her files to my laptop (and I am remote) so that I can complete the final edits and publish. Once completed, I need to move the file to the shared location.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

A CPTX file is actually a renamed zip archive.  Perhaps your server is seeing the CPTX files and recognizing what they are it is treating them as Zip files.  That may be somehow corrupting them.

Try transferring a CPTX file using a USB stick to see if that works.  Taking the server transfer out of the equation may show where the issue lies.
