How come publishing to my computer takes so long on Adobe Captivate using Windows, is it better on Mac?

I have Adobe Captivate and I have created a learning video with videos and slides in it. It takes so long to publish to my computer, is this normal?

So many factors: what are your computer's specifications, how big is that file, are the videos embedded or linked to, etc... I don't think it would be smoother on Mac at all.
