How do I downgrade Captivate 8 to 7

I need to use Captivate on Windows XP and was told that I would have to purchase version 8 and downgrade to 7. I've purchased version 8 now but how do I downgrade to version 7?

Hi there

I'm not exactly sure if this process will help. but one would logically conclude that you will first need an installer for version 7. Only Adobe can really provide that. The real question in my own mind would be whether the installation KEY you would have received for version 8 would work for version 7 once you installed it. It might not. You might find that you need another key in order to make version 7 actually work.

Hopefully one of the Adobe Captivate staff will pop in to advise.

Totally agreed with Rick. If Adobe Support doesn't pop in here, call them and lay out your situation - that you purchased a CP8 license (and be ready to tell them that key) but need CP7 to install on your XP machine...so how can you get that installer and will the CP8 license key work on CP7 (I suspect not, so if they're feeling kind, they'll give you a CP7 key too).
