Hi,
I'm updating some previous projects and every time I load Captivate 9 I get this advertisement/spam with a video to join the Adobe eLearning Community. I can't seem to find anyway to disable it. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I can't believe I'm the only one who finds this video to be horribly annoying.
The only way to shut it off is to click the "Join Community" button.
Can an admin or someone else here PLEASE do some serious customer service? This is SO frustrating.

I agree with you but this is just a User Forum. Nobody here has any authority to do anything about that video.
If you want to complain, go to the Adobe website or the Captivate Community page and log an enhancement request.

Agree as well, please log this. Only if many users complain about this 'invasion' something will be done about it.
Here is the direct link:

Thanks Lilybiri,
Yes, PLEASE everyone do this!
I've been using Captivate since v.3 and I have noticed that the dev team can be horribly sluggish and take months or years to fix the most basic of problems.
Thanks for everyone's help!

After 26 days of back and forth with Adobe Customer Care, here is the best solution offered:
To stop the video advertisement from playing, Close Captivate and go to the following location:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate 9 x64\HTML
Rename the file MarketingVideo.html to MarketingVideo_old.html.
Load Captivate. You will see a white empty box where the video used to play. You must mouse over or click on the box near the lower right hand corner for a "Close" button to appear. If you click on any other part of the screen or any other part of the box, the "Close" button will not appear and you'll be stuck on this screen. The "Close" button will not appear if you don't mouse over it.
Click the "Close" button and you will then be allowed to access to Captivate.
While this is not ideal, it is significantly better than having to wait for the video.
