How to Group objects across Slides?

Engaged ,
Mar 15, 2017 Mar 15, 2017

Hello.

CAP9

Is it possible to create a Group of objects from different Slides.

Example:

Slide 1 has a Triangle

Slide 2 has a Square

Slide 3 has a Circle.

Create a Group called Group_Shapes that includes all three items.

Thank you.

Peter

Hello,

Unfortunatly, this is impossible.

A group of object can only is on the same slide.

No, that is not possible.

Why do you want to do that, maybe we'll find a workaround?

Lily.

When the user enters my first slide I get them to identify their role, such as Doctor or Nurse etc..

Based upon their role I need to Show/Hide various buttons on multiple slides later in the project.

At the moment I have a Conditional Advanced Action on the entry slide that runs through a long list of what to Show/Hide.

And then, each time I create a new object I have to update the long list in the CAA.

It would be great to simply add the object to a Group, and tell the CAA simply to Show/HIde that Group.

I will have to wait and see if Captivate 10 fulfills my dreams

Peter

What I'm using in such a situation is the CpExtra widget by InfoSemantics (only for HTML5 output).  You can have sort of a wildcard in the names (#) and based on that wild card execute several actions. It is only one of its features, you can download a trial and you have to try it out!
