How to illustrate a hand writing using captivate

Community Beginner ,
Oct 27, 2015 Oct 27, 2015

Hi all,

I am starting a new project, and will like to depict a hand with pen actually writing out the words. Can someone give me ideas of how this can be achieved...or any technique that will achieve the desired effect.

Thanks

Hi there

Do you actually want to see a hand?

If so, you may need to investigate acquiring something like Easy Sketch Pro

You might also consider VideoScribe.

Once you have access to one of these, you could either output a video from them and use the video in Captivate or just use Captivate to record the action as a full motion video.

Cheers... Rick ,

Those are some good suggestions.

Another way is to do a stop motion animation with a tripod mounted camera. The key is to keep your camera's white balance consistent across all of your images. Or you could just use the camera to record a video, much like this, then do as Captiv8r suggests and import the video into Captivate.

I love cursive writing; it's something that we're making sure our sons learn. So sad that it's going the way of the Dodo, when it's still a super important skill to have. It never ceases to surprise me when I come across millennials who can't read cursive. Good luck with your project.
