How to return an integer for "correct_response" and "student_response"

I've recently started using Captivate to create End of Course Exams for an old LMS/TMS system.  The issue I'm running into is that the Test Item Analysis tool requires question numbers for the "correct_response" and "student_response" SCORM variables.  Captivate is returning full text strings that correspond to the question numbers.  I've set the questions so that the answers don't shuffle.  Is there a way to return the question number for those variables instead of the text string?  Or, is there some other variable that I could use?

Thanks!
