Hello,

I was editing a software demonstration in Adobe Captivate 2019 64 bit. I finished my file and published to an MP4 file. I then closed out of Captivate and forgot to save my original work.

How can I recover the file or upload my MP4 file back into captivate so I can continue to make edits?

Thank you!

No way. MP4 is a compressed output file, you cannot extract any assets from it as would have been possible partially if you had published to HTML5. Did you check if there is no backup file available? In 11.5 Backups are made automatically. Or you can try to find the cache folder, zip it and you'll have another backup.

If you really only have the MP4, you can only use it to create an interactive video, but that will be probably not what you want.
