I have installed the latest version of Captivate. I tried to publish and preview my project in both swf and html5, but it shows a spinning gif on a white page. The html5 does not load at all on any browser. I restarted my computer and got the same result. I use macOS High Sierra 10.13.3. Can you please help me to fix it?
Thanks
This issue is most likely due to your High Sierra OS not being compatible with the version of Captivate that you are using. Adobe has issued an updated install package for this issue. Check under Help > Updates to see if it indicates your version needs to be updated.

I find that the In Browser preview doesn't work with all newer browsers, especially Chrome. This is because it is using the SWF (Flash) preview and the browser is trying to protect you from malicious code loaded from your local drive.
I find that the HTML5 in Browser preview usually works.
If you have both exported, the SWF usually is the default. Try exporting ONLY the HTML5.

It is true that for non-responsive projects, the only Preview that creates a temporary HTML5 file is F11 (Preview HTML in browser). You don't specify if you work on a responsive or a non-reponsive project.
For High Sierra you need a hotfix.

Unless I'm mistaken, I don't think you can preview or export as SWF for responsive projects.

I clearly wrote for non-responsive projects

No need to take offense--what I meant was the OP stated "I tried to publish and preview my project in both swf and html5,...".
You stated "You don't specify if you work on a responsive or a non-reponsive project."
I was simply saying that I believe it had to be a non-responsive project if SWF was involved.
