I've been working with the ability to add animations during a hover over state of a button and have a massive project that relies upon a high level of organization. Much of that organization is done by grouping items and triggering actions to the group rather than 100 different objects. The issue here is that I am trying to apply an animation to an object's state, which can be done it it was not in a group. Is there any hope to make this a reality? I realize that JavaScripting might make this possible, but I don't know the code and have not tried using it apart from adding a print screen script to a single slide.
Have some problems with the terminology. I suspect by 'animation' you mean an Effect? You cannot apply an effect to astate however, so I am puzzled what you mean excatly by 'animatino'. If you have effects on individual objects, you cannot gourp those objects, because the effects will disappear. You can apply an effect to a group, but that is obviously not what you want at all. If you have some more details about that 'animation' and the reason for the groups (couldn't they have been replaced by

I am using Captivate 2017 and yes I was referring to effects. I wish I could consolidate many of my groups into states, but many of these objects are buttons and to my knowledge that is another thing you can't have related to states; buttons. Thank you for answering my question. I've been at this for little over a year now, how quick is Adobe at adding new features like allowing effects to individual objects that are in groups or allowing buttons to operate withing states of other objects?

I'm just a user, cannot answer for the team. The best way to have features getting to the 'priority' list is to enter a feature request. If only a few users are asking for a new feature, it has not much chance to get done.
