Strange issue, totally new. Are you sure you added a normal slide and not a master slide? Objects on master slides have no ID.

yes, insert-new slide-from-blank slide, it isn't showing up in preview, I changed the colour of the preceding button and it changed the ones on the inserted blank slides!

yes, found some buttons that were set to rest of project, thank you, this is great, never used the forum before, I've just worked it out myself.

Thanks again.

Is button added to the first slide has the timing set as rest of the project. It means the button will be shown in rest of the slides.

If so, change the button timing to rest of slide or specific time.

Thanks,

Rahinie.

It sounds like rahiniem42777823‌ said, a button that is assigned to a slide and set to appear for the rest of the project...

..can only be edited on the slide it is placed.

It appears on the rest of the slides in the project, but can't be selected on the stage or timeline, and is not editable via properties windows if it can't be selected.

You can mask it on the slides where it shouldn't appear, but you won't be able to omit it from specific slides.

You can hide such a button and /or disable it on slides using the On Enter

action. What do you mean by 'masking'? Covering a button with a static

object will not disable it!
