I would like to become a Captivate Moderator or answer questions that are addressed in French, how can I apply? Do you have an eLearning community set up for the French Version?

I'm not sure where you posted this question: on the portal (Learning Community) or directly on the Adobe forums. Q&A posted in the portal automatically gets in the official Adobe Forums. I am a moderator on those forums (globally, not for a specific forum). Several requirements to become an official moderator which I'll not explain here (I am ACP and MVP as you can see). The portal of the community is monitored by the Adobe team, not by external moderators.

There is no problem whatsoever to post questions in French or another language. Personally I am answering when necessary in French/Dutch/German. Moreover the forum has a translation service, which allows me to approve/answer even questions in other languages. I don't think there is a limitation to post blogs, testimonials, etc in other languages neither on the portal.

On LinkedIn, where I'm also taking part in several Captivate discussion groups, there is a French group, where almost no activity is registered. After all the lingua franca is English at this moment, maybe it will be Chinese in some decades?

I posted my question in the Learning Community portal.

I am an Adobe Captivate 5.5 Expert, passed the exam about 3 years ago. I have not gone for the test for Captivate 8 yet since I was waiting to see it upgrade to Captivate 9.

If it is moderated by Adobe personnel, or somebody like you for French we are in good hands!!!

I am part of the French Captivate LinkedIn group, you are right there is not a lot of activities there.

Thank you for your reply.

I have watched Paul Wilson video on how it is worth while participating in the community to gain some recognition and some free licences.

So far I am paying a licence for Adobe Connect Meeting, 1 for Captivate 9, 1 for Presenter, 4 for Captivate Prime, one for Adobe Creative Cloud. It is for my own personal use and self-training.

I have moved back to Montréal, after 15 years in Alberta where I used most of those tools in English and now I would like to share my knowledge on those tools by using them in French and produce some training videos on YouTube.  Sharing those videos in this community will certainly be a way to go to provide some assistance for the Francophone community.

Thank you for Reply and have a great day!

Profitez-en de la façon beaucoup plus facile de ramasser des points dans le 'Community Portal'.

Bonne chance!
