Importing Media in Captivate 2017

New Here ,

I'm trying out the trial license of Adobe Captivate 2017.

I'm trying to import a .jpg file into my new project, and when I go to select my file it isn't listed in the directory where it is.  The file type is correct.  I've triple checked it.

Is there something I'm missing about the image files that can be used by Captivate?

JPG files should be fine, as are PNG, SVG, BMP, GIF.... Strange issue you have.

Did you try to import to the Library or directly on a slide?

The only reason I can think of where an image file would NOT appear in the Open File dialog would be that you chose the wrong way to insert it.  The selection dialog only shows files that correspond to the type of object being inserted.

Did you try to insert the image using the Media > Image button?  Or some other way?

I think it might be more basic than this, are you trying to import using the library or are you trying to do it via File > import?

I think that the issue may have actually been windows related.  Reboot has fixed it.  Sorry for the goose chase.  Should have tried that first.
