Importing Precise Animations from PPT, Maintaining Separate Layers in Captivate?

New Here ,

My SME's are giving me finished Powerpoint presentations that are very precise animations layered on top of technical wiring diagrams to illustrate the flow of electricity. I am to convert them into e-modules. When I create a new project from PPT in Captivate 9.0.1.320, even as high-fi and with slide duration checked, all animations are flattened into one single layer/slide. Is it possible to import from PPT and have Captivate recognize those animations and layers and try to filter them into separate Captivate animations/objects? Specifically, I am using the "line" objects layered on top of circuit drawings and adding the entrance effects of "StretchFrom[right/left]" or the Exit effect of "CollapseTo[top/bottom]" to give the appearance of an animation that is highlighting along a path:

No, that is not possible. I never use PPT import myself, because each slide is turned in a 'movie slide' and individual objects do not appear in Captivate.

Too bad. Looks like I will continue to duplicate the same efforts. Thanks!

Understand your frustration. Is a PPT plugin not an alternative? There is iSpring, Adobe Presenter, Articulate Presenter...

If you can have the individual assets, and import them to the Captivate LIbrary, maybe you could save some time. Don't forget to create a custom theme.
