In Adobe Captivate 9, my slides look perfect in filmstrip, but parts of grouped objects are missing or misaligned in preview. I've corrected over and over and can't get a fix. Ideas?

Are you talking about a normal or a responsive project? Can you post some screenshots?

Hi,

This is a responsive project. Here is the filmstrip view.

And here is the preview of the same slide:

Notice the fill-in-text box has moved and the grouped text/shape submit button is messed up.  Thanks for your help.

Sorry, you cannot attach files, you can only insert images/screenshots using the image button in the Browser version:

Responsive, means I would have to check the Position Properties. Did you set up each breakpoint view?

Again, apologize, because now I see that you post this in the portal, not directly in the Jive forums for which I show the browser toolbar. Think you need to use the Media button in the portal (never worked for me).

Yes, I set up all the positions. I did them and redid them.  I have a vision problem and can't see how to insert images here, but it's easy to describe.

The filmstrip view is a line of text. Then a fill-in-text box and a submit button.  The text: SUBMIT is in a text caption box and the button is a shape. These both came from the master Knowledge slide. I brought the text-caption to the front and group text and button shape. Then I hit Preview.  In full size, the text box is skewed off the shape. In tablet size, the text for the button is completely gone.

In filmview the slides look perfect.

Filmstrip/stage never will show how it will look, certainly not with responsive projects. Even Preview methods (they are all in browser) are not WYSIWYG, you have to test after publishing.

Setting up the Position properties can be a pain, not easy to get everything working as you want.

Just one tip: try to limit number of objects. Why do you use two objects to create a button? A shape can be turned into a button and can act as text container: only one object please. That will make positioning a lot easier. At least you will not lose the text anymore (is due to the Position properties not set up correctly, sorry to insist).  The font sizes for the different breakpoint views have to be set up in the styles for the text containers.

Please come directly to the Jive forums, where you can insert images easily with the button I showed. This is the link to your thread:
