Interactive objects and states

In CP9 I was hoping I could add a smart shape button to a shape to have it take me back to the original object.  I'm not having any luck and now I'm thinking that isn't possible yet.  Am I right or am I missing something?

It is not possible to add interactive objects to a state, indeed.
