Hi everyone,

I have a page that has 27 click boxes on it. When you click each box, a different document downloads. When we put this course in the LMS and the quiz is passed and the entire course is completed, the system says it is not completed and when the course is opened again, it opens on the page with all of the click boxes. Do you know, of any settings that need to be changed for this course to work properly? I do not have any advanced actions on this page either.

What version of Captivate are you using?

You say,
"When we put this course in the LMS and the quiz is passed and the entire course is completed..."

How are you establishing that? What have you setup in your piece that changes the value to 'completed'?

What setting do you have in the Quiz Preferences (I'm assuming 'SCORM' is selected as you seem to be successfully uploading it to your LMS).

As a quick suggestion, if you just have that one page with multiple clickboxes, setup a Next button that user's click when all items have been downloaded that goes to the next slide that has something like 'This is the end'...

I am using the latest version of captivate.

We are establishing that the course is complete by the user passing the quiz. Once the user passes the quiz the course is complete and it should be marked as so in the LMS.

I am using the SCORM 1.2 setting.

I do have an arrow on this page, however the user does not have to click every box to move forward. It is optional for them to download the additional information.

If you have an actual quiz, created with quiz slides, then the 'multiple download' slide shouldn't be an issue.

The issue is likely either how you setup the quiz or how you setup the quiz settings for the student to pass.

And, of course, that your LMS supports SCORM 1.2.

Describe your quiz, and maybe screenshot your quiz settings.

Here are the settings, I'm not sure how to show you how I set up the quiz.

Where are the documents that the learner opens via these click boxes?  Are they also served from a web server or from the LMS?

Your issue could be that when your learners click the click boxes and open other documents then this might be breaking the SCORM communication with the LMS and from that point on it doesn't receive any more information from the course.  That would also explain why on re-launching the course the learner is taken to this slide where all the click boxes are.  That would be the last slide where the LMS received any communication.

The documents are coming from the public drive that we have here (which is a server). Do you have any suggestions on where to put the documents so that it works?

I'm assuming by the term 'public drive' you mean a LAN drive that is inside your company's network?

I think the first thing you need to do is work with the LMS technical people to look at the log files for one of your students accessing the course so that you can see whether or not the communication with the LMS is indeed being terminated when they open other files from that menu slide that has all the click boxes on it.  If that DOES indeed turn out to be the problem, then we'll worry about where to put your files.
