Is it not possible to put shape buttons, that are displayed for the rest of project in fluid boxes?

I am working in Captivate 2017. I managed to create a custom player bar with a Home button, a TOC button and a toggle play/pause and toggle sound on/mute button using shape buttons. I arranged them in fluid boxes so that would move nicely with the different resolutions in my responsive project. As soon as I set the settings to show the shape buttons for the rest of the project, they are not part of my fluid box layout anymore. I find it very troublesome to manage the buttons in my responsive design without fluid boxes. Is there any way, that they can be shown for the rest of the project and still be inside fluid boxes? Maybe using the master slides or something like that? Also I wouldn't mind having a basic fluid box layout preset to all my slides.

Best regards,

Christina
