I am creating a diagram where I want the students to select all input devices from the list of terms into a container called Input. However, I would like the drop sources to line one after the other within the container.
All input terms have been set up as drag sources, and the Input and Output containers are labeled as the drag target. When playing the interaction, all items go into the right container, except they overlay each other.
Is it possible to have the terms stacked from the top downward?
I am still relatively new to Captivate and have begun to discover very cool things and now trying to learn how to format objects.
Thank you!
Sue
Do you mean algining the drag sources when they are dropped on the drop targets? Sorry, I am bit confused by the wording of this question. If this is correct, you need to set up the Snap behavior for each of the drop targets. Default is 'anchor', change it to tile and choose one of the arrangement structures. Depending on the size, I recommend to have the drag sources shrinking by changing the size there as well.

Thank you very much! This was exactly what I was looking to do! It's so easy that I feel like someone turned on the lights!

The problem is that all those options only appear after selecting a drop target. It feels good to be able to offer such a simple solution!
BTW I changed the wording of the heading, using the 'official' term of 'drag sources'.
