Issues with "set exit to normal after completion" not working

Hi there!

I am hoping an Adobe Captivate expert can save my tail today! I am using Adobe Captivate 6, we use Cornerstone OnDemand LMS and I am publishing to SCORM 1.2.

I have the Project End option set to "Close Project" and a button on the last page that says "Exit," that really just continues until the project exits by itself. The course is marked complete after 100% of the slides are viewed. I also have the "Set exit to normal after completion" option turned on, in the hopes that when the learner re-enters after the LMS marks it complete, it will go back to the first slide.

I can't program a java script "close" action on the Exit button because we are using Firefox so java script won't work.

As it is set up right now, my Exit button works, but when the learner re-enters, it always takes them to the last slide in the project. I can't use the Table of Contents because the LMS opens a window that is too small.

Is there anything else I should do to make the project go back to the first page?

Thank you!

This is more of a CornerStone issue, rather than Captivate.

You said it yourself:

"my Exit button works, but when the learner re-enters, it always takes them to the last slide" and

"the 'Set exit to normal after completion' option [is] turned on."

These are actually working as expected. Once they complete the course, Captivate allows exit. CornerStone is marking as complete; but when they return (to the completed course) you want something else?

CornerStone must give the user permission to retake the course, rather than Captivate allowing the user to restart from the first slide.

Try this:

In CornerStone, access the Admin menu, click Catalog, then Course Catalog.

Search for your course title.

Click the Edit icon next to your course, the Edit screen should open with the General tab selected.

Scroll down to the Recurrence section and click the two or three check boxes. (Subsequent instances is optional.)

The user can now request the course again in CornerStone , which will prompt CornerStone to start the course from the beginning of the Captivate file.

I guess it's just that other courses behaved differently. Thanks for the info!
