Having a learning curve here: I have a course that only requires a completion (incomplete ---->complete). that works fine on the LMS. may be important to note that ALL questions are Knowledge checks (not one quiz item). I cannot find a way to control user interaction on the KC pages. I want user to answer question (right or wrong) before being allowed to click next. (as it stands next remains operable no matter what). I want all KC questions answered.
Additionally, i have a TOC. I don't mind if people jump arround wherever they want, just so they do answer all the KCs. Not sure how i control this so people do not miss the KCs and/or think they've finish without sending a "completion" to the LMS.
I read Question Question Slides in Captivate - Captivate blog but seems to not apply to my case

I'm thinking that CP 9 is newer and nobody has tried this. i will make them survey quiz questions to see if i can gain conrtol of the navigation. i am at a loss.

My blog post that you are pointing to is about Question slides. Knowledge check slides are totally new in Captivate 9, they have other limitations, and I didn't blog about them (yet). Bit fed up with people using my articles without paying credit at all, whereas I have to pay monthly to keep that blog alive, not talking about the many hours I spent on each article.
For the TOC you could enable 'Visit navigated slides only' instead of offering free navigation? If you don't want that, you'll have to set up a work flow with variables and advanced/shared action warning the user when he wants to finish (how can they?) that he didn't fill in the KC slides.
KC slides by default have this Setup
It looks like you changed this setup? You can show the Clear button, but like for normal question slides this will only clear the answer before submit. If you want to allow Skip (which seems bit contrary to the goal of a KC slide), you can check that option. I would never recommend a Back button (like for normal Question slides).
@30386350 'nobody has tried this'? Why? You post in a lot of threads, but seem not to be able to change the stacking order of objects in Captivate? On each Quiz master slide (I hope you didn't mess them up) you can drag the Next button under the Clear button if you use a version before CP9. This has no sense anymore in CP9 because that Skip button is unchecked by default (like for KC slides). It was necessary in previous versions because the Next button (was its name in CP8) had double functionality and you needed it if you allowed Review. CP 9 fixed this because when in Review mode dedicated Next and Back buttons appear.
