Learning interactions and text to speech

Community Beginner ,

Hi,

Using Captivate 8, is there a way to use the text to speech feature with a learning interaction ?  If I want to use audio in a learning interaction, accordian, pyramid etc, but I dont want to use my voice, can I use the text to speech feature as the audio in the learning interaction?

Thank you,

Lisa

You can generate the audio clips the usual way (from slide notes). They'll appear in the Library and you can insert them in the Learning interaction.

Thank for your quick response!  I created the text to speech in the slide notes, opened up the learning interaction, opened the content where I'm to add the audio, chose add audio, located the Text to Audio file in the library and when I clicked Ok it says I have selected the wrong file type. The text to speech file (text to audio) states that its a wav file, but it doesn't recognize it as such.  It seems I have to edit the Text to Audio file (text to speech), click on podcast, save file name as a.wav file, then repeat the steps above for it to add to the interaction. The other thing I noticed is when I want to add the new text to speech it wants to change the audio on the slide. When I say yes it incorporates all the text to speech notes on one audio file. Make sense?

I didn't know you had already slide audio. That is indeed a problem, sorry must have mentioned it. Personally I always prefer recording instead of using TTS.
