Learning Interactions - blank screen in preview and when published

New Here ,
Sep 07, 2017 Sep 07, 2017

I have added a learning interaction to my tutorial but when I try to preview it in Captivate, it is blank.  I tried to preview it in Chrome and also published it and nothing seems to work.  Did I miss a step or setting?

Thanks

BarbieC.

If this is HTML5 output, upload the published content to a web server and view it from there.

Thanks Rod.

I will give this a try but I need it to also be a stand alone.  It just seems strange that I can't even preview it in Captivate.

Stand alone? Do you mean EXE file? Are you aware of the fact that EXE is flash-based?

Hi.

Thanks for the response.  I really just want to be able to preview it or if I package it, it can be viewed.  I assume it will need to be Flash-based.  Which makes me think, do I even want to use the learning interactions since they are flash based?

Sorry, think you misunderstand. The EXE-file is Flash-based, learning interactions are HTML5 compatible.

Sorry.  I did misunderstand.  Thank you for the clarification.

I'm still stumped as to why I can't preview it.  Any suggestions?

It happens to me as well, I just upload to my domain and very often it will work in that case even if Preview in Browser was not working.

You didn't specify which learning interactions you are using.

Hey there  I can’t get any of the Learning Interactions to publish…they are just blank. I can't preview to a web site as offered above as I'm in a corp setting (unless there is a work around I don't know how to do). I have been publishing .swfs and using those from a Sharepoint server for other projects and it has been working great for our internal needs. I'm new to the interactions and would really like to use some. Can you offer ideas?

Do you publish to SWF or HTML5 output?  Which version, please?

I have been publishing to .swf. my option to publish to HTML 5 is greyed out when I add a learning interaction.

Sorry, but I do use learning interactions all the time and didn't publish to SWF since two years. Can you show the Publish dialog box?

My Captive has been a problem today and tech is going to have to reinstall a new version for me. I’ll send you the Publish dialogue box tomorrow when I get it up and running again. Thanks☺
