Left side of Captivate classic timeline disappeared.

I cannot see the grouping on the left side of timeline.  Even when I try to expand/ collapse timeline, I still cannot see or view the left side of timeline.  Can someone help?  I've checked the menus and settings and don't see anywhere I can easily get this to view again.

there used to be arrows to expand or collapse my groups.
