Line spacing between variables in shape object; pasting into text entry boxes

Hello,

I'm having my users type into a text entry box and then on a later slide they see a summary of what they typed.  I've formatted the variables in the text of a square shape object.  Looks fine on the editing slide, but when I preview the slide, the variables lines are double spaced.  Does anyone know why that is and how to single space?

A 2nd question:  Is it okay for users to paste text into a text entry box?  I want them to paste a URL, which is quite hard to type.

Thanks!

Hi

Yes users can copy and paste the content into the text entry box. However can you please elaborate your first query with some screenshots so that we can have better understanding of it and can guide you accordingly.

Regards

Viku

I'm ataching some screenshots

#1 - Here's the slide in editing mode:

Here's the HTML5 preview - of the text entry boxes:

Here's the same slide as #1 in HTML5 preview. I've typed "aaa.."  into the text entry boxes, .For some reason the lines are double spaced.

How are you creating the "summary of what they typed," for later display?

I'm just showing the text entry box variables on another slide. So they type into a series of text entry boxes on one slide, and later they can see what they typed.

I also tried using Text Captions instead of text inside an object, and I got the same result - the variables are automatically double spaced. I suppose I could make a different text caption for every variable, and just space all of the separate captions closer together, but it's quite a hassle.
