LMS completion issues

New Here ,

Hi

I have developed a course with a total of 19 slides with 10 event video slides in between and a menu containing the links of those 10 videos. In those 10 videos, there is a video which is named as "Play All" which is a compilation of the 9 videos. There is no end slide as once the user visits an event video slide, they are prompt to go back to a menu slide once they have finished the video. The exit button of the course can be found in the menu slide.

My problem would be incorporating 2 ways to complete the course

1. Once the user accessed the "Play All" slide and exits the course, it will register as completed in LMS.

2. If the user did not accessed the "Play All" slide and decided to go through the 9 event videos instead, it will register as completed in LMS as well.

Is there any way to achieve this kind of setting when publishing the course as SCORM 1.2?

If there needs to be clarified in my question, please let me know.

Thank you in advance!

There may be different ways to achieve this, but I would use Scored objects, maybe existing or new buttons. The button used to return to the menu slide could be scored. If you attach 1 point to each of the return buttons on the individual event video slides, and a score of 9 to the button on the Play all slide you have a total of 18 points. If you make sure to take care of the navigation, not using the playbar, you can activate the option Branch aware. That could make sure that the user who fulf

That could make sure that the user who fulfills your criterion has obtained a score of 9 points, whether he/se watched the View all or the individual video slides. That makes it possible to have a Completed criterion for the LMS based on score.

Thank you Lilybiri for your response.

Yes, you're suggestion was very helpful as now it worked fine with me. I wasn't sure about the Branch aware function before as I only created linear courses in the past.

Again thank you very much for the help!

Maybe this article will clarify the Branch aware feature:

Branch Aware Quiz - Captivate blog

The example is for a quiz, but scored objects are included in all quizzing system variables as you can see in the Advanced Actions panel. More info:
