Dear All,
I have a few questions about working with Captivate 6 and a LMS.
I would love to create a eLearning that starts with a screen were people fill in there email address and then being able to continue the course. The answers should than be stored in the LMS and also the email address and it should be clear for people that User X with email X gave these answers and User Y with email Y gave other answers.
Is this possible with Captivate and if so, is it hard to do?
Thanks in advance

Who should the answers be clear to, Admins or other students/users?
If you want the answers submitted to the LMS, other students can't see the answers, while Admins can.

Hi TLCMediaDesign,
Sorry for this late response.
The answers should be visible for the Admin. So if a company calls me to build an eLearning. He should have a nicely stored LMS were you can see the users email and answers. The email is imported to also store because this is how he gets information from his users and can contact them.
Hope its more clear now?

An LMS may include the email address of users in their database but that is not necessarily a given.
If you're having the current learner input their email address into a variable within the e-learning lesson, that variable value MAY be able to be captured and stored in the LMS as Resume Data, but that doesn't mean the LMS would be able to use it from then on to send information to the learner. As far as the LMS is concerned, Resume Data is only about helping the lesson be successfully completed after the learner has discontinued viewing it before the end was reached.
So your strategy about having the user's email address captured and stored in the LMS is not going to work the way you want unless you were prepared to have the LMS reprogrammed to suit your needs. Big bucks...
