Hello there,  

I am just learning and not sure if I am doing something wrong or experiencing an issue.  When I try to type text in a text caption box where it says 'Type Text Here' it doesn't actually allow me to do so.  If someone could help me understand if its me or the program I would appreciate it so much.  Thank you.

Have you tried to double click in the box so that you can see a blinking cursor?

I might suggest going with text in a smartshape vs text caption box. More flexibility.

You need to get into Edit mode, which can be done in two ways if the text caption (or shape) is selected:

1. double-click in the caption (shape)
2. use F2

Once you are in editing mode you will see the Character part in the Properties panel of the caption (shape).
