New user, can someone answer this in layman's terms for me?

I am brand new to Captivate - just playing around with it for the first time.  I have put some things on a slide and want to "delete" them - but I can no longer "hignlight" the box (it is a next box that I used with a smart shape) - I also want to change the narration I made first, but I cannot figure out how to go back and fix these things.  I am sure there is an easy way - it just isn't apparent to me.  Any help and advice you can give a beginner would be much appreciated.  Also, how do I delete old projects?  I keep messing up and just making new ones - there has to be a better way!!

Thanks!!

If an object is on top of another object, it is often easier to select the bottom object by selecting its timeline in the Timeline panel. If that panel is closed, click on its title bar which you see at the bottom of the screen. It is THE most important panel, too bad that it is collapsed in the newbie UI.

Instead of putting a shape over text, why don't you fill the shape with the tect?

You can do some small changes to an audio file with the Audio, Edit option. Or you can delete an audio clip from the timeline (I suspect it is slide audio, which means you'll see an audio timeline under the slide timeline, again in that very important Timeline panel).

Deleting projects is same as deleting any file on your system (Windows or Mac?). You''ll find the default folder under Preferences, General settings.
